These are the Top Ten Movies of 2024

2024 was one of those years that felt a lot longer than it was supposed to be. How else can we explain that Dune 2, Challengers, and Furiosa all came out this year? I feel like I watched them a lifetime ago.
In addition to feeling super long, it was also a year of super duds from people who should know better (Francis Ford Coppola, Todd Phillips, Zack Snyder, etc.). However, there’s enough negativity in the world as it is, so we’re not here to rag on anyone. We’re here to celebrate. And with so many great films — not to mention TV — this list could easily be a lot longer. For simplicity’s sake, we’re capping it at ten.
So, without further ado, let’s get to it.
10. Wolfs
My guess is that you missed this one because it was in and out of theaters faster than IF (Sorry, Krasinski, you can’t win ’em all). And while critics tore it up, I thought it was clever and fun, with a script that was full of surprises. Whether they’re past their prime or simply settling into their grove, George Clooney and Brad Pitt bring a measured, low-key charm to their roles as adversaries turned partners in the world of fixers and hitmen.
