This 360 Action Camera Became My Best Travel Companion
You will fall in love with the little planet photos

I was a proud owner of a GoPro Hero 3 back in the day. However, this camera slowly began collecting dust on my shelf. I never really used the camera that much.
I'm your typical person/traveler. I do not go surfing, snowboarding, or bungee jumping — I mean, if I had the chance, I would do all of these things; I just don't have any of those as a hobby.
Also, If I'm traveling solo, I will most probably get my smartphone out and take a snapshot. The idea of going through the hassle with an action camera doesn't cross my mind. Two years after I got the GoPro, I sold the action camera with many accessories that had never been used — What a waste of money.
If I want to get myself in the shot, I’ll put my iPhone on a small tripod and then use my Apple Watch to take the shot — So I can see that I’m in the frame instead of just hoping for good results.
Then 360 cameras became a thing. I was always watching Youtube reviews of such cameras. I was always interested, but I always had the bad taste of my horrible experience with the GoPro in the back of my head. Don't get me wrong; the GoPro is a fantastic gadget, but it wasn't right for me.
Towards the end of last year, Insta360 announced the X3 action camera, a camera that is built around "creators" and sharing content on social media.
I immediately dove into the different Youtube reviews. Whether from tech or action camera reviewers, all agreed that this camera is impressive — And now it comes with a big touch screen to ease its control.
I will not go into the technical aspects of the camera here; I'll add them at the bottom of my post. But know this; this is a point-and-shoot 360 camera designed for the average consumer. I had a couple of solo trips coming along the way, and I told myself: "Why not! Buy it as a birthday gift for yourself."
I bought the camera in a bundle with two accessories:
- The invisible selfie stick
- bullet Time Chord
These accessories changed the way I take videos or pictures in my travels. I'll explain both…
