I like Wordle, and for the most part, all the other games that have spawned out of the Wordle universe. I even enjoy some of the non-word-related spin-offs — like Heardle (guessing a song of the day in six guesses or less, with short clips from the song).

For those that are unfamiliar Wordle is a daily word game where players attempt to guess a five-letter word in six guesses or less. It was created by Josh Wardle and sold to the New York Times for a reportedly secret undisclosed sum. The game gained popularity over the past year as users can share their daily achievements online on social media using signature tiled squares to denote score.

Lately, much to my delight, I have noticed that there are many new movie-based Wordle-like games. As a lover of popular culture, movies, and the media of course I had to give them all a try (and many have now incorporated themselves into my daily routine).

Let’s explore them together.
