Late night,
The ghostly glow of streetlamps,
And they exhale, satisfied with their daylight shouting.
There exists a pact —
An agreement,
Now is the time to crinkled thoughts.
That daylight hour, she smoothed away in haste.
Here, in the soft embrace of solitude,
The ticking of the clock resembles the march of a tyrant.
To a gentle tap dancer,
Rhythmic, encouraging,
Marking moments, not deadlines
But by the breaths taken,
Ideas born,
Problems solved.
The night doesn’t stifle; it liberates.
Freed from the glare of scrutiny,
Thoughts awkwardly,
Creativity is no longer a stream.
But an ocean —
mysterious,
Tempting one to swim.
Between the clicking keys,
Where are my thoughts?
And they find their way back to me.
Sharper, yes, sharper
The noise of someone awake has left me unmuddled.
This is the hour for the alchemist.
Turning the leaden pressures of daylight
Into the gold of undisturbed creation.
We draw strategies at this time.
On the blank paper of our minds,
Plans laid out with meticulous care by a cartographer
Mapping unexplored territories.
But beware; these quiet hours are seductive.
They beg you to keep swimming.
into their moonlit waters,
Tempting you with the promise of just one more discovery,
One more idea.
One and more idea.
To thrive after dark, one must master the art.
She was returning from its depths.
To carry the treasures found there
Back into the sunlit
Knowing when the night has given all it can,
And when daylight demands your return,
For those wishing to follow this path,
The night is a cage, not a cage.
Use its silence to create, not consume.
Let it enhance your productivity.
But never sacrifice your sunrise.
So tonight, when the turns back to the sun,
Be midnight philosophers.

For you guys to know, I thrive in the quiet hours of the night when sleep and distractions is not present. This time allows my mind to be productive and my thoughts to rush through. I achieve this nocturnal productivity by knowing when to return to daylight. Treasures found at night to improve, not consume with my daytime work.
