Children who use TikTok without limits run the danger of suffering from a number of negative consequences. Frequent TikTok use can cause melancholy, anxiety, low self-esteem, and feelings of loneliness since kids may be less likely to interact in person with friends and family.

Children may be especially susceptible to cyberbullying on TikTok because they are less accustomed to dealing with online harassment and are more willing to divulge personal information.

Children may become overly reliant on TikTok and neglect other crucial facets of their lives, such as homework, physical activity, and family time, due to the platform’s constant supply of information and notifications.

Due to TikTok’s algorithm, which can recommend content to users based on their likes, behaviours, and facial and audio recognition technology, children may be exposed to unsuitable content, such as violent or sexually explicit movies.
