Time, Time, Time…

A never-ending expense

I look for time at the bottom of the drawers,
in the recesses of each room,
I lift all the stones,
I feel trapped in this stupid limit.

Why did you invent limits
When there were none,
With watches, clocks, phones,
Stupidly counting seconds
Like grains of sand?
Didn’t you have anything
More valuable to do?
And now we are somehow
Slaves to an abstract time.
