Time to Fight for Our Future

Politics. That word can mean so much to so many and yet get so little accomplished.

Ignoring local politicians, which is easy to do, let’s take a look at the only race that matters. Once every 4 years like the locust in Egypt, we have a Presidential Election. That in and by itself is fine and dandy. Nobody cares because both candidates are equally bad and basically the same. There are three branches to our government that are supposed to protect us from an individual making the rules, so it shouldn’t matter that much.

This has actually worked quite well up until now; now we have an election that means something.

Let’s be honest with ourselves and admit we are voting in November not just for a President or a particular party, but for what the country will be. On one side is Mr. Trump representing the Republican party, and the other contender is Mr. Biden for the Democrats.

Now as an older American and proud holder of “Mr. Grumpy” title, this election is the pits. As a rule, I have never really supported one candidate over another. For the most part, they were all the same politicians.
