1. Bartimaeus
Rebuked. But pressed harder for victory.
Bartimaeus didn’t think why bother. The end of an era was his beginning. He is one of Jesus’ last miracles.
Blind Bartimaeus sat begging. A crowd alerted him of the Lord’s presence. He began shouting for the Lord to “have mercy upon him.” The gathering tried hushing him. After all, the Son of David was on his way to his crucifixion.
But louder Bartimaeus shouted.
Jesus stopped, called, questioned Bart about his heart’s desire. Sight. Asked and answered by the depth of unrelinquishing faith.
