Firstly a bit about the released iPhone SE 2020. Apple back in April released their budget iPhone 2020 for a starting price of $399. So at a first glance, it looks like an iPhone 8 - the compactness and lightweight back in 2017, with the combination of glass and metal and with a top and bottom bezel which would be large for users in 2020 compared with the latest released smartphones. The “New” iPhone SE 2020 also has basically the same body similar to the iPhone 8 but the specs will pack a punch. Under the hood of the iPhone SE consists of the latest powerful Apple’s Hexa-core A13 Bionic processor chip. This processor can be also found in Apple’s 2020 flagship models such as the iPhone 11, 11 Pro & 11 Pro Max. Together with iOS 13, it would provide the latest and greatest technology with a price tag of just $399.

Be that as it may, the iPhone SE has its drawbacks. Its battery life is frustrating, additionally while the single camera at the back takes incredible photographs, pictures, and 4K video, it needs additional items like Night Mode or an auxiliary very wide-point focal point. Also, the plan, while charming, looks obsolete as of right now. That is the reason we made a rundown of the best iPhone SE 2020 options you can purchase today. In my opinion, the most drawback would be the top and bottom bezel size for the latest 2020 smartphone.

Here would be the best iPhone SE (2020) alternatives:

  • Google Pixel 4a
  • Samsung S10
  • Samsung S10e
  • Apple iPhone 11
  • Huawei P30
  • OnePlus Nord
  • OnePlus 7T

Google Pixel 4a (2020)

A rivalry between Google Pixel 4a and iPhone SE is epitomizing the condition of smartphones right now. More and more people are searching for a tool that gives them what they need at a price not breaking the bank. The good news: Both the Google Pixel 4a $349 and the iPhone SE $399 are amongst the best available cheap phones.

But which one of these budget phones is for you right? With a bigger display, much slimmer bezels, and a cheaper price, the Pixel 4a comes into this battle. Although iPhone SE boasts a stronger processor and more luxury features such as wireless charging. This is how the two budget phones are shaping up.

Apparently, the Google Pixel 4a is the more enticing option since it starts at just $349, compared to $399 for the iPhone SE. Google also provides twice the capacity for $50 less. The Pixel 4a comes with 128 GB of storage, compared to the iPhone SE’s just 64 GB.

At 5.7 x 2.7 x 0.3 inches and 5.04 ounces, the Pixel 4a is marginally larger but smaller than the iPhone SE, which measures 5.5 x 27 x 0.29 inches, but the bottom line with the Pixel 4a is that you get a lot more screen space in a frame just as compact.

When it comes to showing Pixel 4a has some advantages over the iPhone SE. The OLED panel is larger (5.8 vs. 4.7 inches) and sharper (2340 x 1080 vs. 1334 x 750 pixels) compared to the iPhone SE which uses an LCD panel.

Both the Pixel 4a and the iPhone SE do well with a single front camera and a rear camera, but with them, they do a lot. The Pixel 4a features a 12.2MP rear shooter with an aperture of f/1.7 while the iPhone SE packs a 12MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.8.

Clearly the iPhone SE is the performance champ between these two phones because it packs the same powerful A13 Bionic processor found within the iPhone 11. The Google Pixel 4a in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 G features a decidedly mid-range chip.

Pixel 4a has proved sensitive in everyday use, but when it comes to gaming and processing photos like the iPhone SE it’s not as fast.

Overall, the fight between these two phones is pretty tight but overall the Pixel 4a is the best budget phone.

Samsung S10

Check out the Samsung Galaxy S10 if you want an inexpensive and powerful smartphone like the iPhone SE but also one that has a more modern look. One of Samsung’s flagship phones for 2019 is the Samsung Galaxy S10. It features a lovely AMOLED screen and a brilliant triple camera setup consisting of a 12 MP main camera, an ultra-wide 16 MP camera, and a 12 MP camera. The starting price for their 128 GB model is $499 at present. Given the disparity in numbers, 4.7 vs. 6.1 inches, the actual size difference between the two is not that surprising, since the S10 has thinner bezels.

Samsung S10e

The Samsung Galaxy S10e isn’t smaller than the SE 2020 iPhone but more compact than the S10e Model. It costs $599 but if you have a Galaxy smartphone to trade-in, you can get a decent price. The S10e features a luxurious glass-and-metal style, complemented by a stunning 5.8-inch AMOLED panel.

We tested the Galaxy S10e and considered the lightning-fast performance provided by its Snapdragon 855 processor. The S10e comes with a 12MP main camera and 16MP wide-angle camera in the camera department. We concluded in our analysis that camera performance on the Samsung Galaxy S10e is close to that on the S10 and the S10 +. The mobile is therefore perfectly capable of taking good look pictures.

iPhone 11

If you prefer iOS and are searching for an alternative iPhone SE 2020, it’s certainly worth checking out last year’s Apple iPhone 11 because of its fairly small size. It’s a bit on the expensive side though — it’s $699 priced base 64 GB model. Nonetheless, the iPhone 11 won’t disappoint you if you want to spend some $100-$200 extra to get the perfect iPhone for your needs. Compared to the SE it has a modern-looking style and also provides a wider variety of colors to choose from the back.

The iPhone 11 comes with a dual-camera system, a 6.1-inch Retina Liquid display but also features the powerful A13 Bionic chip and 4 GB RAM from Apple. In testing it, we find the camera system for the iPhone 11 provides great, well-exposed and informative images. The iPhone 11 has an ultra-wide 12MP camera while its main camera is also a 12MP shooter, offering features like Night mode and Portrait mode. Compared to the iPhone SE 2020, the iPhone 11 has a great battery life and is able to get you through a relatively functional day.

Huawei P30

Huawei P30 has the same processor as the P30 Pro ($470 at Amazon). The pictures it takes are similar to P30 Pro’s. It has a headphone port, as opposed to the P30 Pro. But this is around $350 cheaper. If the smaller P30 has equal photographic clout and its own sleek style, is there any need to opt for the more expensive Pro?

Ultimately that depends on your taste and how much cash you can spend on a cell. The 6.1-inch P30 is tangibly smaller than the 6.47-inch Pro, so big-handed users like the iPhone Max and Pixel XL are going to feel less confident here. Display resolution would be 2340x1080-pixels, Full-HD display. The P30 also lacks the curved panel of the Pro, wireless charging, and true water resistance in return for the headphone port. (It’s waterproof, not splash-proof.)

Yet the P30 doesn’t just challenge the Pro. It has also got to think about the latest Samsung Galaxy S10E and S10 phones. Here’s a better choice: Do you care more about the camera on your phone or the output of your phone? If the former is for you, then the P30 is.

Here’s what the P30 system offers you: A 40-megapixel sensor, an ultra-wide-angle 16-megapixel shooter, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens for all your close-up needs. The P30 Pro has the same 40-megapixel main camera but there is also an ultra-wide-angle 20-megapixel camera and the above-mentioned 8-megapixel periscope lens for zooming. The P30 Pro also has a fourth lens, a time-of-flight sensor which the firm says increases field depth.

OnePlus Nord

Earlier this year, the iPhone SE launched to critical acclaim but not everyone falls in love with Apple ‘s budget handset. Yet while some challenged its aged architecture and a few disconcerting hardware choices, the iPhone SE delivered blazing output and camera excellence, shaking the mid-range telephone industry status quo in the process.

OnePlus first budget phone in nearly five years — OnePlus Nord — goes in the opposite direction, favoring modern aesthetics and general versatility over raw power, in a strange twist of fate for a brand that was the original “Flagship Killer”

These two devices couldn’t be any more different, but they both come in at less than $500. These are great for consumers who want a luxury experience without the premium cost.

Yet which phone will be right for you? Find out more in this face-off OnePlus Nord vs iPhone SE. The monitor is just another region that diverges from those phones. The iPhone SE has a very thin 4.7-inch LCD display with a visible resolution of 1.334 x 750. On the other side, the Nord has an OLED screen measuring 6.44-inch offering 1080p transparency and a refresh rate measuring 90Hz. I’m not going to sugarcoat it, while the iPhone SE panel seems to have better quality control, the Nord monitor is infinitely better.

OnePlus 7T

Last year’s OnePlus 7 T is a great alternative to the iPhone SE (2020) because it offers very powerful output at a budget-friendly price. The price is currently $499 for 8 GB of RAM combined with 128 GB of storage, a smooth scrolling refresh rate of 90Hz display, and a triple camera setup. Its AMOLED display is 6.55 inches on the bigger side so if the only reason to consider the SE 2020 iPhone is its size, the 7 T may not be for you.

Nevertheless, the OnePlus 7 T features the flagship-grade processor of last year, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 +, which guarantees fantastic, fast, and strong performance. The OnePlus 7 T comes with three cameras in the back: 48MP is the main sensor, 16MP is the wide-angle sensor and 12MP is the telephoto camera. While reviewing it, we concluded that the OnePlus 7 T produces good photos, which we found unfortunate with a slight pink tint on people’s skin. The OnePlus 7 T also has a low-light feature called Nightscape which, again, is not provided by the iPhone SE 2020.

The OnePlus 7 T comes with outstanding battery life, beating the iPhone 11 in our tests on video playback by approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
