What are transferable skills?

Well, as the sentence hints at basically it is being able to transfer one skill from one situation and apply it to another.

So let me give you an example. You have worked at McDonald’s or any fast-food chain and now you want to work in a bank. How are the skills you learned from what’s considered a pretty low-skilled job transferable to work in a bank as a cashier (teller)?

Cash Handling

McDonald’s: Managed cash registers dealing with customer payments and ensuring correct change was given.
