The great fire in Australia made me sad

We seem to be helpless. Millions of animals died. Even if greens are sprouting back, out of the blackened soil, it might be a slow death of otherwise fertile land. Nature does not grow back to the same magnificence as before. New heatwaves make it tough for plants to dominate again.
