Trying out the Noah Kagan Method of Starting A Business

Let’s talk about Noah Kagan, the brains behind AppSumo — a platform where entrepreneurs can discover tools to boost their ventures. Not only that, he’s a mentor to budding business owners, offering insights through his book ‘The Million Dollar Weekend’ and online series. His journey is truly inspiring, making him one of my top picks in the entrepreneurial world.
Recently, I embarked on a journey through his book, eager to test out his strategies. And guess what? I’m documenting my progress in a series of blog posts. Each week, I’ll share updates on how things are going, with a dash of humor along the way. Who knows, maybe I’ll even hit that millionaire mark! (Just kidding, but a person can dream, right?)
First Things First!
The initial step was to discover an idea that resonated with me and was worth pursuing. That led me back to an older concept I had brainstormed with friends: ‘Fantasy Fights’. Originally conceived as a podcast where we’d discuss fighter rankings and dream matchups, the project fizzled out almost as quickly as it began.
However, this setback sparked a new thought: “What if I repurposed this idea and developed a landing page for ranking fight-related content, such as gloves, fight gear, and other products and offering affiliate links to make money?”
Being deeply immersed in the worlds of MMA and Jiu-jitsu, I spend countless hours honing my skills in these disciplines week after week. It dawned on me that my passion and expertise could serve as the perfect catalyst for launching a website, especially one dedicated to product reviews.
Here Is My Noah Kagan Idea
Here’s my Noah Kagan-inspired concept! First off, there’s the name: ‘Fantasy Fights’. Secondly, with ‘Fantasy Fights’, I envision crafting a landing page and launching marketing efforts targeting individuals passionate about Jiu-jitsu, MMA, Taekwondo, or Boxing.
