I first got into writing years ago when I watched how the news media controlled what we see and know about and what happened when they didn’t. I realized that often if the news didn’t cover an event, it may as well have not occurred.

I decided I wanted to be in that chair. I wanted to be a journalist and write about things.

I loved it. I wrote for big and little papers, then online publications, and developed these online blog sites. It’s a ton of fun, and as a “generalist,” I get to write about a lot of different topics or events. And it all requires doing intensive research, of course.

Then, something happened that put my newspaper/journalist career on hold for several years. I wrote a book. Now, if you know me, I always said I never wanted to or planned to write a book. Books are too difficult and take too long to write. I mean, some people take years to complete a book. Good grief. I don’t have that kind of patience.

Well….we know how that turned out. I now have written and published three and a half books. All are traditionally published, thank you.
