Two Quotes to Keep You Writing When You Don’t Want To
Write these on a sticky note
Some days you’re just not going to want to write.
It happens to all of us.
For me, it’s happening right now.
It’s 10 p.m. here.
It’s been another very long day of exploring London (this time in the cold and rain, which somehow seemed to make it even more tiring!).
I finally got checked into my new hostel around 8:30, and honestly, I’m exhausted.
I don’t want to write words today. But I’m going to because I made a commitment to myself.
I promised myself that this year, I was going to write something every day.
It doesn’t have to be huge. I’m not promising to write a chapter or a long-form essay every day. I’m not even promising to write a whole paragraph!
Some days, it might only be a few short sentences or a few words.
But that’s okay.
As long as words have appeared on the page, then I did my job.
Regardless of whether they’re on my phone in a Notes app, on my computer in a Word document, or in Medium in my drafts folder, the most important thing is that they’re there.
