As the plane began its descent, my eyes remained glued to the window. I wondered, does Sin City truly never sleep? Uncertain of what to expect, the city appeared serene from the skies. Yet, upon landing, the first sight that greeted us was the Sphere. Glowing like a tennis ball, it stole the sparkle from surrounding hotels. However, this only marked the beginning of our adventure.

We disembarked from the plane, only to be greeted by slot machines. If losing at the casinos wasn’t enough, you might as well try your luck just before leaving the city. The chaotic vibe of the city hits you when you try to book an Uber. But the people we came across in the city were gems. They guided us on the dos and don’ts of the city, ensuring we had the best time around. It was close to midnight when we settled into our hotel, but we were ready to venture out into the city.

We decided to start our exploration by going to Fremont Street. Known as the old Vegas strip, it’s like a symphony for the senses. With a paneled roof showcasing scenic views, people ziplining across the strip, and live concerts, the space had it all. Unlike the new strip, this was a space for pedestrians only. Even past midnight, it felt as if Friday night had just begun. After exploring the space for a bit, we decided to satisfy our late-night cravings by indulging in tacos at Tacos el Pastor, a popular spot we were told. Ideally, we could have and should have taken a cab back to the hotel, but we decided to walk the new strip. It was an extremely long walk, but we ended up spotting the Sphere. Now showcasing the moon was a remarkable sight and definitely something worth visiting while in the city. Although it was yet to open up then, it was still the talk of the town. By the time we reached the hotel, we were exhausted. Luckily, day two was mostly dedicated to relaxing.

We started the day with some coffee and croissants from the coffee shop in the hotel before heading off to the pool. But a few hours at the pool awakened our appetite. We decided to enjoy the weather and dined at Alexxa’s, savoring pasta and wine with a view of the Bellagio fountain show. Energized, we embarked on another night out in Sin City, exploring all the famous hotels on the strip. Known for the casinos, the restaurants, and of course the nightlife, we managed to tick off at least two out of the three. For dinner, we decided to eat at Momofuku. If you know me, I am always more fascinated by dessert, and true to form, my favorite dish of the night was the Japanese Tiramisu. Replacing the espresso with a type of green tea was a delight. We decided to enjoy the last night in town exploring the remaining hotel attractions across the new strip. Our night ended earlier than the previous one, our legs weary after covering 22,000 steps in a day.

With an afternoon flight looming, we savored brunch at Mon Ami Gabi, a delightful finale to our trip. From Eggs Benedict to Salmon to Waffles, every dish we ordered was a treat. And just like that, it was time to head back.

Reluctantly, we bid farewell to Las Vegas, knowing that another trip was necessary to explore the shows and restaurants we missed on this whirlwind adventure.
