Waiting for Spring
With open hearts and anticipation
As the darkness of winter begins to fade,
As the cold winds begin to lessen and lessen,
We wait in patient expectation,
For the coming of a fresh new season,
We wait for the coming of spring,
To bloom with flowers for no reason.
The icy claws of winter and white sand,
Have gashed and slashed the land,
A colder winter than was planned.
