Walk Away (Poem)
It surely hurts but is there a good way?
Walking away from any relationship is hard especially romantic relationships. It is not the length of time known but the depth of the experience and the perceived closeness. It is a fact not all relationships have the fairy tale endings we all wish…. “happily ever after”. Sometimes, the ‘ever after’ lasts only a night or a few weeks even! We will never be able to know another person fully, forget changing them.. that can never happen. It is the most foolish of all foolish pursuits. But even knowing is tricky. Forget others, how well do we even know ourselves well when we are running around believing everything we think or worse, believing things others tell us, blindly! I digress, bottom line, walk-away happens more often than we care. But is there a good way to walk away? There is no one size fits all method. However, one must communicate and walk away. It is the only respectful way to out. Here is my poetic take on it. Enjoy!
