Two of my children always loved drawing and painting when they were young, and as they got older, their drawings and paintings became more sophisticated.

At times, they were pretty dark.

This didn’t surprise me, as they have been brought up with a Buffy The Vampire Slayer mega-fan.

Buffy wasn’t the only thing I loved.

I have always loved the world of gothic art and stories.

There is something intensely alluring about those stories and arts, especially those deep and dark.

My children were not drawing things based on the things I loved. They found their own way of enjoying art, especially Anime.

When they were young, they would draw creative works similar to those created in anime, which were often light, but as they got older, their tastes changed, and frequently, they would draw darker and eerier pictures.
