What are memories if not untrustworthy?
easily manipulated…
easily changed…
But then, what are we if not our memories?
Our identity!
What makes us who we are…
are shaped by our memories…
or are we more…?
but what about those we forget?
Do we lose ourselves? as they disappear?
Or do they live on in our memories?
or are we more?
and what about those who have shied away,
and those who have built shields,
from the memories,
those who have locked them away,
hoping to never see them again,
hoping it’s not a part of who they are,
are they less themselves than us,
or are they more?
