Did you notice those two bright lights in the sky. As long as it isn’t cloudy, the two stars could be seen to the west southwest right after it sunset.

Those two stars are actually not stars at all but planets Venus and Jupiter.

Venus is the lower one of the two and Jupiter is just above it. As long as the weather cooperates, you can’t miss them! They’re super bright!

Each night, Venus and Jupiter approach a degree closer to each other in the evening night sky. By February 24, the two planets will be only 5⁰ apart. The two planets will align and be the closest to each other on March 2, 2023.

When they align, the sight will look absolutely amazing in the evening night sky. Here is hoping the weather cooperates!

I just happened to notice these two bright stars in the night sky and thought, these have to be something. Two planets most likely. Which ones if they are?

Sure enough after doing some Googling, they were in fact planets — Venus and Jupiter.
