Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the new craze; everyone either praises AI as the savior or villainizes it. But precisely what is AI? This article will present the basic definitions of AI and implement an intelligent agent in Excel.

Artificial intelligence is the study and implementation of intelligent entities, so-called agents. The notation AI is a general term that includes everything from robotics to self-driving cars, natural language processors like ChatGPT to computer image generation, and so much more.
Definitions
AI can be categorized into four key definitions: (1) acting humanly, (2) thinking humanly, (3) thinking rationally, and (4) acting rationally. This article focuses on the first aspect: Can machines mimic human behavior?
Acting humanly: This field includes natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, computer vision, and robotics. For example, ChatGPT combines machine learning and NLP, in which the machine learns to mimic human text.
