What is Copywriting?

Copywriting is a form of marketing writing that is used to instantly persuade customers to take a certain action, such as buying a product or clicking on an ad. Copywriters craft messages with a specific purpose in mind — to encourage readers to buy the products being advertised. In terms of structure, copywriting is often written in a brief, catchy, conversational tone and often contains phrases such as ‘you’, ‘your’ and ‘yours’. Copywriting has the following characteristics:
