Success definition is different for different people. Most relates success to getting a high paying job, corporate growth, financial well-being, or various material possessions. In contrast, some consider giving it back to society or gain immense knowledge as a success. Well, you can achieve anything if you defined it well and executed it with persistence. But being joyful forever depends on your success definition and pursuing it with passion.

What is Success?

Most of the people deceive themselves by relating success to material possessions. Once they achieve it, then will start aiming for more. It becomes an endless quest.

So if success is not in material possessions, then what?

Did you ever do something valuable for others without your material gain? Do you remember the feeling by bringing a smile on somebody else face?
Doing something for yourself gives you pleasure, but usually, that doesn’t last long. Doing something significant for others makes you joyful forever. So probably that’s the reason you may see so many unhappy people who in their material terms are successful. Money is not the success but usually a by-product of your journey towards success as you pursue that with passion.

So how to go from here? How to start your journey towards real success?

Generally, it starts with restlessness in your current situation. You may have everything for your survival, but still, discontentment surrounds you. You would take the first step if you decided to take control of your situation by taking action.

  1. Define your mission: Mission is generally a more significant cause that goes beyond yourself. We consider defining a mission as a must-have practice for any business. But forget to set it for ourselves. Every living being has a purpose, and so you. So the starting point is to understand your strengths and interests to define your mission, which excites you.
  2. Define vision linked to the mission: You have to create a structured plan for the next few years to define the path to your purpose. Challenge yourself, but be realistic.
  3. Execute the plan: We all are so good at creating plans but usually fail in execution. For example, so many people claim to have a killer idea, but few become successful entrepreneurs by executing the ideas they believe in. The same applies to our life and personal success.

So now you know what to do. Commit yourself to your vision and focus on it, as lack of focus results in distraction and so mediocre results. Magic happens when you believe in yourself and try your best without procrastinating. If you understand these inherent challenges and ensure to act appropriately, then SUCCESS is inevitable.
