What next?

This question is as constant as the ticking of the clock.

Have a quick look at your life a decade ago, when you wished for the things you have now. You wished for it and prayed for it, and now you have it. When you have it, your anticipation and longing for further desires increase.

It’s okay to have an outlook on how you want to grow in life. But this anticipation should not be your source of existence in life. Securing a space in life where you are okay with making peace with what you have is what I call living in harmony.

There is no such thing in life that we can call bigger. You should understand that the phrase “bigger than this” is a big-time illusion to terminate our contentment. Whatever you have earned in this life is the best of the best that you could ever have. What next? We will figure this out later, but for now, let’s love and be grateful for what we have. It is all about the outlook.

Your outlook defines your life. You need to understand that your desires travel beyond the horizon, and none of us can ever see what is on the other side. So let’s learn to hold our horses and stay focused on what we have in the present. The attitude of cribbing is cancer to your soul. Shift your focus towards empathy, love, generosity, compassion, and appreciating people around you; practice and see the magic; you will start feeling light; the unnecessary baggage of comparison and always being ahead will soothe your soul. You will be the most secure person on the planet once you stop controlling things.

Life is a loop, and you will get stuck in the same situations time and again. Your growth can only be defined by what you have learned and how you tackle the same situation with a different approach. The bigger picture is a dream; your life is a dream, similar to evanescence. Don’t take it seriously, and live this dream with love and compassion by counting each day as your best day. It is only you who is responsible for the quality of your life.
