There are times when I feel like doing nothing. I would love to chill and relax like my golden retriever, lie down in the sun without worrying to prepare a meal, drop kids to school and be omnipresent for household chores. For a mother doing nothing is doing more than one can in a week. It’s important to unwind and slow down when the mind and body are overworked. I have a few suggestions that help to relax and start afresh for the next day.

· Watch your favorite movie: It’s a lot of fun to revisit those old memories associated with your favorite movie. It makes you smile and if you have company, it’s perfect!

Have that guilty snack: indulge in those cheesy dips, chips, and Doritos that have been on your mind but you avoid them. At times eating without counting calories is divine. It is good for the soul.

· Spend time with your pet: Pets are full of unconditional love and will wait for you endlessly. In the hustle of daily life, they tend to get ignored. So when doing nothing, just be with them. Those cute eyes will re-energize you.

· Take care of your skin: Eat some fruits and put the same on your face. No!! I am not joking; it just gives you that glow and saves you from the task of making a face pack. Just pour your drink, have it with some colorful fruits and bask in the winter sun. Life is sorted!

· Read that book: Yes! The book might change something in your life or will make you laugh. Reading is therapeutic, while doing nothing just download an audio version and listen to it. Technology has made things easier and audio versions of books are an amazing invention.

I hope these will help you in facing the world with more energy but don’t forget the most important point. You need to CALL YOUR MOM!! Yes! call her because when you do nothing someone has to be there to make it successful. She will happily be there to take charge. Take care.
