Climate change and greenhouse gases

As the temperature of the planet rises more than would be natural, the climate is changing. However, the current period of warming is happening faster than any past event. [Sources: 1, 2]

These changes are due to the large number of greenhouse gases being emitted into the atmosphere by many human activities around the world. The first is the burning of fossil fuels for power generation, heating, and transportation.

Our use and production of energy have a huge impact on the climate, . Our energy production and use (most of which come from fossil fuels) also contribute to climate change, accounting for more than 84% of US greenhouse gas emissions. This is why climate change has an adverse impact on global solar production and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. [Sources: 5, 6, 8]
