“Where did boys go?”

In the heat of the summer skies,

when dreams used to fly,

the boys danced with the stars,

for no good reason why,

the air carried their laughter,

the echoes and chaos,

the pains and the grins,

when kites used to tangle,

stories of fairies,

the dragons and

the knights,

the sword made of wood,

I want to go to the time,

I wish I could.

When chasing shadows was a job,

And life was a wagon full of smiles,

Mud- streaked faces,

Ink on shirt,

Stinking shoes,

Imagination,

The imagination was free,

and boys were too.

But time passes,
