Who Is God?

God is not white, black, yellow, red, or green. God is not a male, female, or an androgynous deity. God is certainly not a white-bearded man, sitting on a throne, judging our thoughts, emotions, and actions. God is not a savior. God is not an entity or a being.

No. God is not Jewish, European, African, Indian, Chinese, or Japanese. Certainly, God is not Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or of some other religious faith.

God is a function; a power; a potentiality. God Is. There is not a single force or element which is not God. So God is Is. All IS is God!

As an individualized presence of God, we can never attain a complete conception of God given that the very essence of Is is beyond consciousness itself. The mere process of thinking about God places our awareness within the mental plane and its limited functions which forces us to think through words. Words can never define the infinite given their finite meaning.

We can only cognize a limited meaning of God through moments of silence and emptiness of mind. The moment we attempt to define or utter a word about the meaning of God, we diminish the infinite essence of its functions.

We can say that human beings, plants, and animals are spiritual presences of God. The sun is God. The planets are gods. The galaxies are gods. The ocean is God. The air is God. Fire is God. Space is…
