Why Do I Write About Self-Improvement? Why Do You?

Wouldn’t people make fun of me?

When I started writing on medium, I was confused about what to write. I had about 4–5 niches in my mind.

But I started with self-improvement. It wasn’t like I chose to write about it, and I considered I would explore and write about all the niches in my mind.

But I also had doubts:

Why am I writing about Self-improvement?

Wouldn’t people make fun of me?

What have I done, I mean I don’t have any crazy success story.

I don’t even have clarity about my life, and I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do in life. I’m not even a good writer.

How can I write about self-improvement?

I’m sure you have these doubts too.

With all these doubts, I started writing anyway.

I told myself, Let’s write and see what happens. I’ve at least become capable enough of dealing with my mind if people make fun of me. I can share that at least.

Other reasons included:

1) I had improved in certain areas of life and faced certain challenges and I could write about them.

2) It’s easy to write about self-improvement also because you have to write about your journey and not look at other articles on the internet.

3) You can document how you’ve improved over time.

4) Writing about achieving something is good but writing about how you’ve overcome challenges is super good.

5)Writing about self-improvement encourages accountability.

And what if everyone started writing about their journeys?

Think about the vast ocean of experiences and wisdom.

how the world would improve overall?

The whole of humanity would grow, and a mindful society would emerge.

How many people will live a fulfilled life?

How many regrets will wash off?

It would contribute to a better world, where individuals live more, making choices that align with their true selves.
