Stop ghosting and labeling someone as ‘needy’ or ‘desperate’ for showing interest in you
Over the years, I’ve realized that two popularly held beliefs hold no water:
Men are simple beings.
The way to a man’s heart is with meals that satisfy — and other things that do too.
Are you kidding me?
I find men of today incomprehensible. Sometimes, I wonder if they’re actually from Mars or some distant alien planet. Whoever coined the phrase ‘men are simple creatures’ seriously needs to update it for 2025.
Men are complicated
I know I’m speaking in general terms, but I can tell you from experience that it’s accurate.
For instance, I made all my ex-husband’s favorite dishes, exactly to his taste, just like his beloved mother did. But that wasn’t the way to his heart.
He constantly compared me to her to convince me that I’d never measure up. He wanted a wife who was pretty, brought in money, adventurous in the bedroom, and still, it wasn’t enough.
