Am I the only one who doesn’t think this looks like a Squid?

Squid Game has received so much hype and is the most successful launch in Netflix’s history. With over 100 Million views globally, the gory Korean drama has attracted so much attention. And it is clear to see why…

Although it is an extreme version, there are key themes we can all relate to. The struggles all participants in the Squid Game are going through are prevalent in everyday life.

Financial distress. Divorce and separation from kids. Pressure to impress other people. High expectations from parents to live up to. Gambling and going into debt. Constantly being compared to other people. Having low self-esteem. Feeling like there is no hope. Many emotions that we as an audience can empathize with.

There is also an undertone in this series of the evils of money and power. When we look at the VIPs, there is a lot to be linked to the superrich in our societies. The scandals that have gone on in most governments over the years with exploitation and abuse of power…
