We are made in God’s image.
We are made in the image of God — the same God who:
Creates
Loves
Forgives
Cares
Guides
Works
Rests
What?
Yes, God works. He created the heavens and earth. He created all the creatures.
Once His initial work of creation was done, He rested and then went back to work. He takes care of us. He listens to us and answers our prayers. He performs miracles.
He works. And He rests.
Because we are made in His image, we are at our best when we are doing what He does: working and resting. We are at our best when, in the course of our work, we allow ourselves to be God’s instruments. We are at our best when, after we have worked, we take the time we need to rest, to relax, to revitalize ourselves so that we can do more…
