About two hundred years ago, technological progress took a turn that led to the emergence of unnecessary devices and technologies. But factors that determine the future of any invention remain the same.

This blog post was inspired by Tom Goodwin’s article in which he provides a vision of technology through the evolution of screens. I’d like to suggest looking at the issue from a different point of view.

The answer to the question “Will Apple be able to succeed on Apple Vision Pro?” doesn’t depend on micro cameras, sensors, or megapixels. To discuss it, we need to dive into the history of science for some time.

Pre-industrial era

Many years ago, most technical inventions and new technologies emerged as a response to customers’ needs and requirements.

Business people needed to manage their finances, and Luca Pacioli invented the principle of double-entry accounting.
