I look at the obstacle I dread,
And the word “can’t” won’t leave my head,
I’m scared and paralyzed as I gaze,
Courage seems beyond the haze.
But then I see a bird in flight,
And I consider what is in my sight,
I decide right then I will be like that bird,
Defying gravity with courage stirred.
I see my dilemma with new eyes,
And remember we don’t get the highs,
Without putting wings on our fear,
So look out obstacle, because hey, I’m here.
