Deception

We live in a time where deception and scammers are a lot harder to decipher. That is why we all need to remain vigilant.

The principle of ‘If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is’. Remains as valid today as it has ever been, even more so.

The soft part of any person is their ego, so anything that strokes the ego, or makes amazing promises is a problem. Your antennae should sound the alarm.

Tactic — Expensive self-publishing services

The scam is that these companies charge for editing and design of your book cover, these two are essential for the success of any book.

Sometimes their prices are quite good and seem good value, however, in delivering on the quality of the work, they leave a lot to be desired. Before you know it you have paid what you thought was good value, and they have delivered substandard work, but hey they don’t care, they have made their money.

Tactic- Copyright Swindlers
