It’s More About the Practice Than the Perfection
I was reading an article today by Fahri Karakas, who pointed out a simple thing to remember when writing. Instead of making your writing perfect before publishing, it is more important to just write every day and put it out there. As an academic, he found himself in “perfection prison,” getting everything just right before creating or publishing his work. By flipping this he has had much more success in his work.
With that in mind, it is time to create a new piece of writing!
Hard Copies Are Hard to Fix
The best thing about electronic writing and publishing is the ability to go back and fix mistakes. Or improve on the content you create. I often review my articles, notice issues with grammar or punctuation, and take a minute to resolve them.
I also sometimes catch problems with arguments or improve the information I shared. For example, I have corrected the following article, which I wrote under a penname, no less than a dozen times. Four years later…
