You’re Not Lazy, You Just Have an Anxious Attachment Style
Procrastination is different for anxious attachers.
Here’s the thing — I could be productive as all get out on one day. Article ideas overflowing, school assignments finished quickly, and essays written with no issues. But then, other days… other days I’m lucky if I get out of bed and take a shower.
For the longest time, I thought that I merely had fluctuating levels of motivation. While this can be true, it often goes deeper than that. It doesn’t fall just on how you feel in the mornings. Even with no motivation, people can still be productive. I know that solely from the many essays I wrote in the final hours of them being due.
So, what is this block of productivity?
While some of it comes down to how motivated someone may be, there is something else that has everything to do with the four attachment styles. If you’re a secure attachment type, congratulations! You tend to finish work as it comes. For the rest of us… well, that’s another story.
