“Our management theme for 2023 is the ‘Year of Efficiency’ and we’re focused on becoming a stronger and more nimble organization.”

Mark Zuckerberg declared this year as the “Year of Efficiency” — yawn. When will this guy give society a break? In other words, he’s upset his employees aren’t working hard enough to ruin their users’ lives, since the whole idea of “connecting people” has always be nothing more than a sham.

After all, Facebook’s primary source of income is disseminating predatory advertisements by looting you of all your data—meaning, they profit off of spying on you when you’re at your most vulnerable because no happy person signs into Facebook. As if he hasn’t done enough to dismantle the social fabric of society, now Zuckerberg wants to make his employees’ lives miserable, too.

How does he plan to kick off the Year of Efficiency?

Zuckerberg is cracking down on productivity, and has already announced plans to lay off ten thousand workers, as well as closing five thousand job openings. Over the past months, his frustration has grown, as he accused workers of laziness, only before usurping their vacation days and firing 11…
