Cart abandonment is a problem we often face.

We have found several effective ways to fix it, and in this post I want to share them with you.

If you want to scale your eCommerce brand easily, you can check our free Ultimate Meta Ads Creative Guide
(link will take you outside of Medium)

1. Optimization of the ordering process.

Experience shows that the simpler this process is, the more likely it is that the buyer will make a purchase.

Reduce the number of steps and make sure the process is simple and quick.

2. Offer as many payment and delivery options as possible.

I personally abandon placing an order if the payment or delivery option I need is not available.

3. Use exit intent popups.

Show special offers or discounts when the buyer is ready to close the site.

This is the moment when it’s worth doing it.

4. Provide clear progress indicators.

Let customers know how far they are in the checkout process.

Use progress bars to show how many steps are left to reduce uncertainty and frustration.

5. Offer a guest checkout.

Not everyone wants to create an account just to make a purchase.

Allow customers to make purchases without registering, which can speed up the process and reduce abandonment rates.

There are many reasons why customers may abandon the checkout process.

These strategies have already been tested in our experience and definitely work.
