I love the author of this book, Brant Hansen. He is funny, quirky, a great storyteller, and a dedicated Christ-follower.

Whether you’re a Christian, a Christian hater, or not quite sure which, the ten points below will make you think, question your beliefs, affirm your beliefs, and provide some good points for a deep conversation with someone.

There is so much meat on the bone in this book that it wasn’t easy for me to land on only ten.

Here we go…

“God is quite aware of all the suffering and injustice, thank you; but if we believe what Jesus believes, we’ll have a sense of well-being no matter what.”

“We’ll hurt, we’ll cry, we’ll go through tremendous loss. We might be deeply unhappy. And yet…His peace persists.”

“Jesus makes too much sense. I have to trust someone — we all do, so really: Who better than Jesus?”

“Jesus was saying in so many different ways,’ Look folks: God is better than you think. You can trust Him. Because of Him, you’re safe in this world. You can go all in with Him. Even in the worst-case scenario, He’s still got you.’ Many won’t believe it…
