Imagine trying to dance the tango on a ship caught in a storm. The deck heaves beneath you, the rain lashes your face, and your partner’s feet keep stomping on yours.

That, my friends, is life.

Unpredictable, chaotic, and often painful.

But here’s the secret: the key to not just surviving but thriving in this mess lies in embracing the uncertainty.

The Illusion of Control

We humans are control freaks. We schedule, plan, and organize, believing that with enough effort, we can shape our future.

But the universe laughs at our plans.

The car breaks down, the job offer falls through, the pandemic hits. Control is an illusion, a comforting lie we tell ourselves.

My old cat, Jensen, never bothered with such delusions. His life was a series of spontaneous decisions — sleep, eat, chase invisible enemies. and he thrived in his chaotic little world because he never tried to control it.

We could learn a lot from cats.

The Fear Factor

Fear of the unknown keeps us stuck. We cling to our routines and safe zones, terrified of what lies beyond. However: everything we want lies on the other side…
