How as a toddler in those years, I see many age parents about 90 plus, and even old in years, drive bicycles on tiny galloping roads of red mud that are slippery to farm with eyes shining white without using glasses, even in darkness.

If you have seen those age-old men and women, especially in Africa, and think what is the secret behind their healthiness, why they look so healthy and sound and wondering why. You are not alone, I too was once a passionate finder of these secrets.

Most old men especially in African villages can drive and walk miles to farms to fetch firewood. At least during my first days and visits I thought that someone at age 80 isn’t fit for so much hard work, but not in African native villages. So many African old/aged people are sound and even healthier than you can think of and live life to the fullest.

So What Are Their Very Secrets:

The Secret of Using Herbs

Firstly, African age/old parents take herbs a lot especially the people who are specialists in medicine. They go out of their way, refusing pharmaceutical drugs, which they believe don't do what it actually does. They mix herbs from different plants known for a particular sickness and cure, to drink. These herbs which they take have been tested and tried locally by experienced herbalists to some degree and proven to be right for a particular sickness and Illness.

Sometimes most aged/experts African parents, study plants eaten by domestic animals to know the reasons why they take what they take. This can also be seen as why they eat the leaves animals eats and rejects what animals reject because, through this means, the majority of the most trusted and poisonous plants have been found and protected from extinction.

For example when a goat is pregnant, although believed to be an herbivore. It is a belief at that time! The goat is believed to eat only certain leaves and plants, which are only fit for their pregnancy.

This method alone has been proven for the study of useful plants for the cure of pregnancy-related illness by African herbalist experts….

The Secret of Good Food:

Secondly, African age men and women believe in not eating fertilize foods and Genetic Modified Foods, which have been manipulated through the genes. They eat only green foods, planted and harvested by them. And also take time to cultivate them. They go their way during the early morning hours to look for fresh fruits in the forest to pick and eat. This fruit eaten must be ripe and matured to its fullest before even being plucked.

The Secret of Exercising:

Thirdly, African-age parents do a lot of exercise. Believe me, not the daily exercise of walking one mile a day or two miles per day. Not this daily routine of exercising to burn fats,500 pounds in two weeks. These exercises are done by them unknown to them. How do they do it unknown to them? They trek on their feet and cycle with bicycles, traveling miles every day. With bear feet.

The Secret of Local Alcohol:

Fourthly, African-age parents take locally made alcohol and dry gins known as Tombo or Ogogoro to stay strong. Most of these locally made drinks are concocted with strong native herbs that are cures to certain sicknesses.

The Secret of Self-care:

Fifthly, They enjoy and observe rest and practice self-care through traditional rights like celebrating New Yam Festival and others.

The Secret of Walking Bear Foot:

Sixth, African-aged people walk with bare foots many times to wherever they go. Trust me on this, there are so many benefits of walking bear foots every day without wearing shoes, slippers, or whatever to cover our legs. This alone makes there bone become healthy and rightly stretched to reduce bone-related issues and fractions.

The Secret of Bathing Warm Water:

Lastly, African-aged parents believe in bathing in Warm water. As a key instrument to stay healthy. They do this in the early hours of the morning.

Although there are many more, these are the most tangible ones I can find for now and I will keep updating it, as I find more. What did I miss?
