Have you been a lazy ass lard lord for the past couple of years? Fret not my friend, I have been too. After watching countless YouTube shorts about old fat people getting back into shape, I took the plunge and returned to my local gym after 15 years of absence.

You might have your reservations about going to the gym to improve your physical health and fitness, so let me start by taking off the edge of your inherent resistance to get to the gym:

Everybody will watch me

Nope, most people simply don’t care because they are there to make progress.

I will have to talk to many strangers

Nope, most people are all absorbed in their workout and if you have earphones in, everyone knows to let you be.

Gym people are all supermodels

Nope, people in the gym come in all shapes, sizes and levels of fitness.

Gym workouts are only for men or young people
