India as a democratic country hugely depends on the general elections. Every 5 years, people elect the state and central governments that would run the country for the next 5 years. The system is centuries-old, but electronic voting machines (EVM) have been introduced at the beginning of this century. Before that, paper ballots were used for all kinds of elections. But after the pandemic outbreak, the system demanded an alternative. Here comes the idea of Mobile Voting.

Mobile Voting or Online Voting:

Mobile Voting or eVoting is a newly adopted internet-based technology that helps organizations to conduct voting procedures without spending a lot of money and in a much less confusing way. The voters vote for their desired candidates from the comfort of their own houses. The process is hassle-free and helps organizations as well as voters to maintain all sorts of COVID protocols even when they’re taking part in the elections.

Here are 3 reasons why Mobile Voting is completely safe and secure.

More Private Elections:

General elections where voters vote in the voting booths through EVMs are sometimes get invaded by local political parties. The voting procedure which needs to be completely private sometimes gets compromised and that affects the election results. Outside influence is inevitable not only in general elections but also in various organizational elections. But with eVoting, all of these problems can be avoided. As the process happens from the houses of the respective voters, it is completely private and without any outside influence.

Authentication of the Voting Process:

Fake votes have always been a problem that made the election procedures less secure. The authentication of genuine voters gets compromised a lot in EVM booth voting. But with Online Voting, the number of these fake votes can be reduced. The technology is fully digitalized, with proper OTP authentication and AADHAAR details. The process not only secures the system from the fake voters but also ensures security to the identity of the voters.

Use of Latest Technology:

The use of technology in daily life is getting updated every passing day. It’s shaping the future for us. The use of advanced technology in India is making it possible for governments to look for various new concepts that depend on technology. These voting apps that are used in online voting are based on the latest technology. They are developed in such a way that provides full security and privacy to the voters. These evolving technology will help small or large-scale organizations to conduct elections that are reliable and fully upgraded.
