Our diet needs to be nutritious and balanced. A nutritious diet means that nutrients that strengthen the body should be included in the diet and a balanced diet means such a diet in which the food items included have the right proportion of carbohydrates, proteins, fat, fiber, vitamins and minerals, etc. Therefore, there is a need not to reduce the diet but to reduce the food that is harmful to health, and for this, it is also necessary to maintain balance in the diet.

According to a report by the American Heart Association, 75 percent of the people consume more salt than required. According to researchers, each person consumes an average of 4 grams of salt daily, double the amount recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). According to another report, most of the 23 lakh deaths due to heart diseases worldwide are due to excessive salt intake in food. Research studies say that reducing the amount of salt in food by 35 percent can save the lives of thousands of people. Apart from this, a high salt diet can also be reduced by being physically active. Controlling high blood pressure is a great option.
