Six months ago, I resigned from my software engineering job of 7 years. The job and people were exceptional. I learned a ton in that period, but then I realized it was time to make a change. That it was time to face my fears and embrace change and jump at something new that will challenge me differently.

Different from my last job, my current job is a remote one. This means WFH with no more early commutes to work. The remote nature of this job was a huge influence on my decision to accept the offer. My previous company experimented with the WFH culture during the peak of the COVID pandemic. But reverted to on-site right when the pandemic began to normalize. I believed the work productivity and output of the engineering team shot through the roof during the period we worked from home. However, we were called back to the office, and this decision made me unhappy.

So my new job offer of a fully remote work was a presentation of a tried experience I was yearning to experience again.

Now working for a new employer, I wanted to present my best self even if the work was remote. In this regard, I have invested in some WFH equipment to help me achieve peak productivity and comfort.
