Out With Book Recommendations — In With Author Recommendations
I want to start the idea of an Author Recommendation List — scratch that. I’ve already started one.
It’s about time we had a new idea.
More like a flip of an ancient idea.
We have always had book recommendations. It made sense.
Read a book, love it, recommend it.
Simple.
Everybody has a book recommendations list. Myself included.
But have we ever had an author recommendation list?
It starts with one…the rest follow
Let the record show that we’ll start an Author Recommendation List.
This is the list of authors known for unique ideas or those whose work you genuinely love.
Some of the ideas are so unique, the author is automatically known. And vice versa.
Tipping point? Malcolm Gladwell. Black Swan? Nassim Nicholas Taleb.
I’ve already started the list with the one person who introduced me to scientific thinking. Were it not for him, I would not be as critical in my thinking as I continue to be.
He was the first person to introduce me to this kind of thinking. So he will be the first to grace this list.
Here’s to an idea that I hope outlives me.
