Story of Cyanide killer Jolly Amma Joseph.

Jolly Amma Joseph, a woman from Kerala, India, was accused of murdering six members of her own family over a period of 14 years. The victims included her husband, parents-in-law, brother-in-law, and two other family members.

The case began to unfold in 2019 when a relative of Jolly's husband filed a police complaint alleging foul play in the death of her husband. The relative claimed that Jolly had given her husband poisoned food, which led to his death. The police launched an investigation, and it was found that Jolly had allegedly killed six members of her family between 2002 and 2016.

Jolly's modus operandi was to poison her victims with cyanide, which she allegedly obtained by claiming that she needed it for gold plating. She allegedly mixed the cyanide in the food or drink of her victims, causing them to die of sudden heart attacks.

During the investigation, the police found evidence that Jolly had forged documents to claim her victims' property and assets after their deaths. She also allegedly tried to kill her own daughter by giving her cyanide-laced food, but the attempt was unsuccessful.

Jolly's trial began in 2020, and she was found guilty of all six murders. The court sentenced her to death, which was upheld by the Kerala High Court in 2021. Jolly's case has been described as one of the most sensational criminal cases in the history of Kerala.

The case has raised questions about the role of women in traditional Indian families and the need for stricter laws to prevent crimes against women. It has also highlighted the importance of forensic investigation and the use of technology in solving crimes.
