A chapter in a future book about the most powerful kind of love.

There once lived a true love lost to death eleven times. This love was lost repeatedly over centuries, historic settlements, war after war, lifetime after lifetime — eleven lifetimes to date.

Their love for each other was so powerful that each time they met, they ran in fear. In each lifetime, just when they would finally recognize each other in themselves, one would pass this earth leaving the other in agonizing lovesickness, grief, and sadness — one that would feel like thunder in their hearts until their dying day.

During their eleventh lifetime, the masculine died at war. The feminine outlived him by nearly 60 years. For 60 he watched over her. He never left her side. He was her own personal angel warrior.

He flew everywhere she went. He watched her as she grieved for him. He watched her heal just enough to fall in love and get married. He proudly watched her raise children. On her dying day, he hovered over her and kissed her on her last breath.

In that kiss, he had sucked the breath of life right out of her to finally bring her peace — a peace he knew would last for only a short while, for he had other plans for them during their next lifetime.
