The Attraction of Black Friday Sales
Are you going to buy some things at the sale today?
The newspapers, hoardings, and billboards were advertising Black Friday sales at the lowest price of the season. They looked super attractive. The whole city was excited and wanted to go there.
These marketing strategies inspire people to go and buy as these are out-of-the-ordinary things. It creates a buzz and insists that this is the best thing for them and they must go to buy something or they would be missing a big deal. Also, some people have a fear of missing out (FOM) on these exciting sales that they have to go and see for themselves.
My friend urged me to go to a Black Friday sale today. I said no way I am not interested. I have nothing to buy so please go alone and don’t ask me to come along.
“I want to buy some sandals and bags and I am taking you with me because you have good taste and you will help me.” She said
Wow! She had inflated my ego with the word good taste and had full expectations that I would go along with her.
